Silver Medal — 2025 New Zealand Gin Competition
Our Tasman Dry Gin was awarded Silver in the Classic Gin category at the inaugural 2025 New Zealand Gin Competition — a blind tasting of nearly 100 entries across six styles: Classic, Contemporary, Flavoured, Navy, Gin Liqueur, and Light.
Silver is reserved for outstanding spirits that display refinement, finesse, and complexity, ranking among the best examples of their category. Unlike many traditional spirits awards, this competition was judged by everyday gin drinkers — the people who actually buy and enjoy gin — so the medal reflects genuine consumer preference as well as craft.

Deaks Distillery won Gold at the 2025 Super Liquor Super Spirits Awards — the national platform launched that year to champion the best-tasting gins, whiskies, rums, and tequilas available in New Zealand.
Judged by a panel of expert spirits tasters across accessible categories including Classic Dry, Contemporary, and Flavoured gin, the awards celebrate outstanding bottles that hold their own on the shelf. This gold medal recognises our continued commitment to excellence and innovation in spirit making.

Silver Medal — The Junipers NZ Gin Awards
Awarded Silver in the Contemporary Dry category at The Junipers, New Zealand’s Gin Awards — a remarkable result in our debut year. Established to celebrate the finest gins available in the New Zealand retail market, The Junipers are judged by industry specialists including leading spirits writers and hospitality experts.
Contemporary Dry recognises a London Dry style where juniper is present, but the character may also emphasise other botanicals, including native and non-traditional notes. This medal validated our passionate approach to distilling from the very beginning.
